Scabies

Scabies is a very itchy condition caused by a mite. It frequently affects children, but may affect adults at times. It frequently involves the hands, fingers, wrists and, at times, the genital region. Other areas may be involved as well. Usually the itching, typically worse at night, starts several weeks after contact with the mite. However, treatment is quite effective, particularly when repeated. It is important to see a dermatologist right away to help manage this condition.
